The new version of Abu Garcia's 506 model is great upgrade on an already excellent reel. And yes it is ok for any kind of float fishing whatever the water. I would say be very precise in loading the spool, wet the line and keep it under tension etc etc. I cannot stress how important it is to load it correctly otherwise it will bunch up the line worse than the old one did. How heavy is the 507 in comparison with the 506 I am looking for the lightest closed face reel on the market please

I thought this came with 3 spare spools and a reel case? It doesn’t mention that. Also, has the problems with these reels been corrected? I heard they were poorly made. Thank you
