Baitrunner/Freespin Reels
A baitrunner or free spin reel has an extra clutch function that other reels do not have. It is used to let line flow freely from the spool when the bail-arm is engaged, but with a quick turn of the handle or flicking the switch back the normal drag tension is set again. A function generally used in modern carp fishing but has been adapted to other methods of fishing as well.
