Mitchell
Mitchell, established in 1948, evolved from clock manufacturing engineering company Carpono and Pons. They created the first prototype open-faced spinning reel in the latter part of the 1930s and a patent was granted in 1950 for this new reel design. Since they're introduction in the late 1940s, nearly 30 million Mitchell 300 reels have been sold worldwide. By creating innovative, yet user friendly designs that mimic the qualities of the original, Mitchell spinning reels, rods and combos appeal to the practical anglers who love the pure joy of fishing.
