I have written many times about snag ears and, despite there being some good ones out there, I have always felt that they either meant using two at a time on each alarm which I think look plain stupid or having to fit too much furniture between my alarm and buzz bar.
Finally, these Safe-D versions fit the bill perfectly if you are a Delkim alarm user, like myself. They are supplied with a replacement battery-compartment cover that fits easily where the old one was. On the exterior of this are two slots, into which the carbon Safe-D arms slide. You can have them both attached or just one on either side, it is up to you. Once attached they look very smart, as well as performing their intended job. When you pack away, you simply slide them off and store them in your buzz-bar bags, along with your alarms.
Oh, the added bonus is that the replacement battery-compartment covers solve the age-old problem of the old ones sliding off when you put the alarm covers on. Perfect!
A lot of thought has gone into this latest accessory for Delkim alarms, which gives you the option of having two removable, carbon snag bars on each alarm head. They attach to the alarm via a replacement battery cover, supplied with the Snag Ears, which is secured in place via screws and holes already in the alarm. Each Snag Ear slides into an attachment on this cover, allowing one or both to be removed as needed. The hard case still fits over the alarm with the new cover in place and because it is screwed in, this eliminates the problem of the battery cover sliding off as you push the alarm into the case. The ears are tubular carbon fibre and they can be used with any Delkim alarm, past or present.
