Is this reel exactly the same as the XSE apart from colour, or does the XSE have more seals to protect from sea water? Asking as I need a surf reel, but prefer the black colour (XTE) over silver.

Hi Kevin,
Its basically exactly the same reel. They both have Shimano's C14+ main body, just different colours. There's no additional magsealing etc on the silver XSE. So there's no reason you can't use the XTE version if you prefer.'
