Korda's Hybrid, Wide Gape hook is based on the classic Maruta Kinryu spade end pattern. The point is very slightly in-turned so it catches hold quickly creating solid hook holds every single time. This, coupled with ultra sharpness, forms a formidable hook pattern.

These hooks have fast become one of the must-have items in my tackle box and I use them for the majority of my bottom-bait rigs. Featuring an inturned eye and a beaked hook point, they are an excellent choice for boilie fishing. When using this pattern I always add a small piece of shrink tubing to the hook, which encourages it to flip in the carps mouth. They are Teflon coated and super-sharp straight from the packet. I have caught carp of all sizes using these and I really cannot fault them. They are super-reliable and consistently provide excellent hook-holds.
