The problem with this net is the spreader block - the net itself is awesome and probably THE best for resting barbel in after capture but the really annoying thing is that you have no idea when, not if, the spreader block will fail on you.... real shame because if this was sorted it would be the best specimen net money can but for under £20.00!!

According to the labelling on the packaging Rock Salt is the Carp Worlds best kept secret...
I must admit that is the only bit of the packaging I would disagree with for surely the use of salt is one of the worst kept secrets, not just in carp fishing but in all of specialist fishing? I certainly cant recall not having used it in some form or other for my fishing for years even if only in the form of adding a can of tuna in brine to a bucket of groundbait and properly used, salt certainly attracts fish.
That said there has clearly been a bit of confusion as to the use of salt in fishing, especially in respect of what salt to use, and I have seen anglers who have clearly heard about the powers of salt as an attractant sprinkling table salt over all manner of baits. For the record table salt, with its various additives and anti-caking agents, is not the stuff to use. In moderation it wont do the fish any harm but its not really what you want in your swim you want rock salt, and human grade rock salt too.
All credit then to NashBait then for taking the mystery away from salt and providing exactly what anglers require, and in two very different formulations, with clear instructions as to how it should be used and, more importantly, in what quantities it should be used.
First up are the Top Rod rock salt crystals, which are large crystals of rock salt designed to be added directly to groundbaits and spod mixes or catapulted straight into your swim at a recommended rate of 50g to kick start the session with a recommended usage of 150 200g per 24 hour session.
They are also ideal for dissolving in water to cook or soak particles, to mix into groundbait or stick mixes or indeed to crush and add to or shake over any bait you fancy.
Next up from Nashbait, and part of the same range, are the rock salt Chain Reaction attractants which are pre-drilled ready to be slipped over a hooklength where they dissolve to give a steady breakdown of rock salt into your swim. Breakdown time depends upon water temperature but the baits soften rapidly and start to leach salt almost immediately they are immersed.
Both products are easy to use and, if you have never used salt in your baits before, both WILL help you to catch more fish whats not to like!

Theyre so hot off the production line that weve received the groundbait in unpackaged bags! Rest assured that once theyre on the shop shelves theyll be in attractive, keep-fresh bags. The two mixes are Swim Stim Method-Mix and Swim Stim Match. They come in 2kg bags and are the results of extensive research, testing and development by both parties involved.
The Method-Mix is just that, a fishmeal-based groundbait designed for feeder fishing as requested by Steve. It has a fine texture to ensure that it breaks down quickly, which is essential for feeder fishing. When questioned about the mix Steve commented: It is designed to be used straight from the bag, rather than using a combination of a few different bags as many anglers now do. There are plenty of ingredients used in this mix and together they create a groundbait that Steve is happy to put his name to.
The Match mix is a sweet fishmeal groundbait that Steve has developed for use on mixed fisheries where you need to catch many species, including skimmers, F1s and carp. Sweet mixes have become popular in the last year or so, with many anglers combining two mixes to create them but now you dont need to! Its more versatile than the first mix and can be used for potting in, feeder fishing or balling in. This is the go-to mix if youre fishing a venue when you want a netful of fish, but not solely carp.
For a groundbait to be given the endorsement of Steve Ringers signature on the packaging, it has to be right. And if hes happy with the contents of the bags, then so are we!

I have had this net for about 6 months and have found it a fantastic net for all my chub and barbel needs. I have also used it for summer carping and it is very strong and sturdy with no signs of wear yet. 10/10

I bought this net last week and on my first outing while netting my second Barbel the arms became detached from the spreader block. I was fortunately fishing in shallow water and was able to trap the net with the fish in it and getting my feet wet retrieve the net and fish.
On examination the grub screw was loose and on further investigation the threads had stripped which allowed the arms to come out.
I was able to superglue the parts back together and with care landing fish get to the end of the day.
I have informed the manufacturer but todate have not received a response.
The latex net is very good although the fish seemed to spook when they saw it but that was probably due to the shallow clear water.
I would not recommend this product until modification to the spreader block has been carried out.
