Description

The Space Station Shuttle is a specially designed barrow style tackle transporter, that has been developed to carry the Space Station, XBox and other seat boxes using the additional converter bar (supplied). The design also provides a large luggage loading area for carryalls and an additional removable Utility bag between the handles for clothing, pole rollers etc. In addition the Shuttle handle bar system incorporates a foam covered cross bar that can be used to support rod holdalls. Once the Shuttle is loaded, its design enables the angler to transport a complete set of tackle with ease compared to traditional seat box trolleys. This has been achieved by positioning the wheels directly beneath the heaviest part of the loaded shuttle, giving optimum balance. The Shuttle can be quickly assembled and dismantled to fit comfortably inside most car boots.

I am generally pleased with the item but when opened there were 2 locking screws missing. Despite contacting the retailer I have not received replacements yet.

Bought as a xmas present, so not used yet, but seems well made (as you would expect of a Preston product) Bought at the best price available, no complaints and none expected.

I wasnt quite sure about the Space Shuttle barrow system when one was first sent into the Match Fishing office but that soon changed when I took it home for a test drive! After loading it up to the gunnels I was impressed with how effortlessly I could push it around the yard. That weekend I took it to Heronbrook Fishery, a commercial where a bit of walking can be involved, and it whizzed my tackle to my peg with no problems at all. Since then it has travelled with me practically everywhere and theres no way Preston Innovations is having it back! These days Im constantly trying to thin down my tackle mountain but I still seem to carry everything but the kitchen sink and this barrow has never buckled under the strain. I also find its two wheels and excellent point of balance make pushing it less strenuous than traditional wheelbarrow-type trolleys. My Fox MSB box sits on it nicely and I normally fold down the footplate and place my carryall on this. Any other large bags are piled on top, while extras like waterproofs, worm sacks and even my groundbait bucket are chucked into the nifty grasscutter bag at the back. Its obviously designed for Preston seatboxes but even systems like Rive and the Milo Tardis fit on it well. The only time its perhaps not so stable is on extremely uneven terrain. In these circumstances a single-wheeled barrow is naturally going to be more efficient, but in all honesty I rarely encounter awkward banks these days. That is one very small negative compared to the shedload of positives I have for this system. Its the only trolley Ive seen that can carry all of my kit in one go and I rarely go to a match without it.
