Just got hold of my new Seven. Although it is the baby sister to a lot of well performing, highly priced beauties, It definitely still has the gene!!!
Lot of reel for the money, robust and fast retrieve.
I love this reel, i fish the bristol channel from my own boat and find it to be absolutly first class. its not to heavy which makes the balance of rod and reel perfect. it casts superbly straight out of the box and has a good fast retrieve.it is robust mine have hauled up plenty of double figure thornbacks and congers from fast flowing tides with no problem. i would reccomend this reel any day excellent value for money, a reel with a name you can trust at a bargain price. dont take any notice of people that say gears are poor abu do not make sub standard reels maybe they should try using one for a season and then make a judgement
