Description
Building on the popularity of the existing 10ft rods in the opportunist Xtnd series. The Xtnd+ models offer you two 12ft models that feature a double extending telescopic packdown that allows them to fit comfortably into the holdalls in the Opportunist luggage range. With two test curves available, a 1.75 plus a 2.25lb option. These are ideal for tackling everything from larger carp on stillwaters, to barbel and chub in heavy running water. Manufactured from high modulus carbon fibre blanks, and fitted with quality lightweight minima guides along with an anti frap tip ring.

Hello will the 2.25 test curve rod be ok for carp and would a 5000 reel be ok

Hi Jack,
Sounds like a well balanced setup for single bait fishing. The only minor thing to consider is if you planning on using heavy PVA bags. People will typically step up to a heavier test curve.

Hello, I recently purchased 2 Korum Opportunist XTND 12 ft / 1.75lbs and 2.25lbs rods. I'm getting ready for the season, and I realize that I can't tell the two rods apart once I take them out of the fabric cover! I checked carefully, but apart from the name KORUM and Opportunist nothing appears concerning the power of the rods? Thanks.

I have checked our stock'for you and the size and test curve is written on Butt section just above the reel seat. Hope this helps.

I have the 12ft 1.75lb, could it be used for float fishing for carp, or is it a bit too much?

Hi Gary,
No reason you cant. You probably wont get that nice flex in the rod as you flick a float out. Plus your presumably going to be using heavier line that maybe wont cast as well. But if you're going to be using some heavier floats you should be fine.

Hi Farkhod,
The Opportunist range of rods and luggage are all compatible with' each other. So with the double telescopic 12ft rods they will fit in just as well as the 10ft.
