Description
The 15ft version of the Drennan Acolyte Ultra has that all-important extra length so vital for the improved line and float control needed for this style of river fishing. It is particularly suited for running water river fishing with a crisp tip section offering supreme line control with stick floats, wagglers and bolo floats. The extra length of this three-piece rod is also a great asset when tackling deep water swims. Despite being 15ft the super slim and featherweight blank still only weighs approximately 5 3/4oz (163g), which makes it lighter and better balanced than many manufacturers’ 13ft models! It is perfectly complimented with reel lines from 3lb to 5lb (1.4kg to 2.3kg) and hooklengths from 4lb (0.15mm) right down to 11/2lb (0.09mm).

Can I bu the middle only section?

Hi Michael,
Although we do sell and stock Drennan products, we don't do anything as far as spares and repairs. The easiest way to source a replacement section for your rod would be to contact your local tackle shop and they'll be able to speak to Drennan.

Ordered last year for stick float fishing on larger rivers. Surprised by how light weight and easy to handle the rod is. Extra bit of control it gives on casting is very noticeable. Yet to test on a larger powerful fish (e.g. barbel) but its handled grayling, chub, trout, etc. fine. the extra length also helps keep the fish away from the snags on the near bank. Really happy with it and may order the 17ft as well for The Trent.
