Description
- Sails are one of the great sportfishing species of our oceans and we have got just the rod to target them! More and more anglers are looking for a lightweight rod that they can use with a 20000 size Fixed Spool/Spinning Reel for trolling both lures and livebaits. They are equally at home when it comes to pitching baits at teased sailfish right at the back of the boat. This is a rod that you really put through its paces as a hooked sailfish screams off with 100 metres of line on its first run.
- Sailfish Trek Spin XTAlthough sails are fast moving and hard fighters they also have a relatively small mouth out of which hooks are easily pulled when you are playing a fish too hard. We have taken all this into consideration and our prototype rods have landed large numbers of sails from many oceans in the world so they are really tried and tested on fish to well over 100lb in weight. We at Fox are proud that we have managed to achieve that delicate balance between a soft tip and a rod with enormous backbone to help eliminate hook pulls whilst at the same time tame these speedsters.
- The Sailfish Trek Spin XT is equipped with Fox SIC's guides throughout which are ceramic lined and suited to both monofilaments and braid between 20 and 50lb breaking strain.
- This delightful rod has been equipped with an especially sculptured foregrip allowing the angler to apply maximum pressure. The full EVA handle is furnished with an exclusive Fox ultra secure reel fitting, Gimbal and rubber cap. This allows the angler to use the rod with or without a belt for fun filled stand up work.
- The Sailfish Trek Spin XT is constructed with 4 sections and a transportation length of 27 inches. It comes complete with a top quality smart zipped hard case travel tube to give the best protection and the most compact length for travel.
