High quality travel boat rods that break down into 5 sections for ease of transport. Manufactured with Penn’s SLS3 technology that allows for a much thinner blank, while giving incredible strength and performance. Using a premium quality 30T carbon fibre cloth as a starting block, and outfitted with top of the range Seaguide rings and guides throughout. They can handle both mono and braided mainlines depending on your preference and have a super secure locking HD DPS reel seat. Supplied in its own hard case Condura tube to offer better protection when taking them abroad.

Hi, Would 50lb pound version take large sharks 200lb range and sailfish? if not what range of fish size is recommended and can this be used a popping rod?

Unfortunately, none of the team have experience with fishing for such species, we only have the information supplied on the product page from Penn. I'd recommend to speak to someone local to the area and they should be able to advise on a good set up.

can the 30lb or 50lb version be used as a travel spinning rod for medium size sharks blacktips or spotted gulley , GT and sailfish from the shore spinning lure fishing in the tropics ?

Unfortunately, none of the team have experience in fishing for the species you have mentioned. I'd recommend speaking to some one to Local to the area you are planning on visiting and they should be able to provide some advice for you.

What is the length of the travel tube?

Hi Kevin,
We don't physically stock these so I cant just pull one off the shelf and measure it. Given the lengths of the individual sections, I'm guessing they'll probably be around 60cm. To get a definitive answer though try dropping Pure Fishing, Penn's UK'distributers, a message and they should be able to clear this up for you.
