Description
Devon Baits Frozen Whole Mackerel, by far the UK’s most popular and effective bait choice. Capable of catching just about any species found around our shores throughout all 12 months of the year. Whole mackerel hookbaits make a popular choice for boat and shore anglers when large baits are needed for big fish. With packs of fillets also available ideal when targeting smaller species like dabs, whiting and gurnards. The special oiled fillets have proved a major success in competitions when dogfish are the main target. Conger eel anglers also tell us this bait is deadly, especially for the bigger eels. Highly effective when presented as a flapper, with the backbone removed, but leaving the fillets attached to the head.
Mackerel in small squares can be used to tip off worm baits to make them more attractive to a wider range of species than a plain worm bait would attract.

*** Important Information PLEASE READ BEFORE ORDERING ANY FROZEN PRODUCTS! ***
Although every care is taken to ensure your frozen item arrives in a good condition, we ask that you read and understand the below before placing an order with Frozen products:
- All frozen baits will be packaged securely in bubble wrap with gel freezer packs to try and keep them cool for as long as possible whilst in transit.
- Delivery is usually the next working day following dispatch. We do not dispatch frozen orders on a Friday or near a Bank Holiday.
- You will receive a confirmation email when your order has been dispatched so this will give you an idea of when your parcel will be delivered.
- Please ensure that someone will be available to accept the delivery, we will not be held liable for spoiled bait if no one is available to accept it.
- The order should be delivered 24-36 hours from the time the order has been packed. This means that the bait will defrost before it reaches you, this is perfectly normal but we recommend refreezing the item as soon as it is received.
- If you have ordered dead bait, sometimes your bait may have redness/blood to it. This is common and to be expected. The bait is still absolutely fine to use.
- You are ordering frozen bait over the internet which will take time to be delivered, the bait will not be as fresh as when it was originally packed from the sea, lake or river but it will still be perfectly good to use and will catch you many fish.
- Thank you for understanding and we look forward to your order...Tight lines!
