Korda intelligent backleads feature a dumpy pear shaped lead with a smooth ring and silicon insert. Just remove the ultra smooth ring, clip on your line and place back in the insert and your good to go. A great way to pin your line down out of the way of wildlife and other water users.

Easy to use, holds on the line during the strike and when playing the fish.
Ref: Jim Judd....Korda no what they are doing they are the pioneers in carp fishing. This is back lead is designed to be 'safe' so if it gets snagged it will release under a certain amount of pressure. It will not come apart on the strike but i would certainly make sure they are tight before you use them.
these work really well, have had no trouble with them coming off when i strike. when used with a 4mm bead on the line above the leader they will stop there instead of sliding down towards the lead clip. i have had them break apart only when iv been been snagged up in weed and reeds when playing the fish, which is need to get the carp in.
The metal eye isn't actually attached to the lead. It's attached using a rubber sleeve and was very easy to pop the metal eye out of the sleeve. So easy in fact, I didn't bother using them such was my fear of losing the lead upon strike.
