I agree totally with Sacha's points about this item. It is pretty good at what it does, apart from the suckers which are so so. I used the back of a metal tray in the end and they seated well enough on that, but it was a fiddle to keep that still. Bolting this to a workbench or even a small flat piece of wood, would bring dividends and I intend to take that step soon.
There aren't any instructions that I saw, but it is fairly simple to work out what to do when you look at it (assembled as it comes). It is basic, but I bet it will last well enough for the money.
I found it quite effective once I'd got it to stick down. I would caution that putting more than a modest amount of tension on the loader brings a slightly less than smooth process to bear, but no biggy. It works well for a light to moderate tension, laying down. It works fine at moderate tension too, but the metal vertical isn't super-rigid and prone to an amount of bending and bobbing if you go very fast. Which I suspect you'd try.
All in all I think it is well worth the money though. Its a darned sight better than putting a pencil through the reel and your feet on that either side as you try to create drag with your instep!
So very useful, but a brief set of notes with the suggestion that you bolt it to something flat might be a good idea.

Good product. Easy to use, once you figure out which way the spring goes ;)

This item is a must for all anglers it's easy to use and does a really good job of loading your line onto reels very quick, wouldn't be without it now money well spent.

Bought this so I could load up a couple of the Daiwa Emcast reels. It's a little too flimsy to take a powerful reel. Really sticky to start with - a bit of cooking oil on the main shaft eased that, but the line then overspins and wraps itself over the spring that provides the tension no matter how smooth I reeled. With hindsight I should probably have used a rod and spooled up through the first ring but live and learn.
The feet are OK, but not great - couldn't get them to stick to a lot of flat surfaces as they're a bit plasticky and very highly arched so unstick themselves quite quickly.
Also, the feet fit through holes in the flat base piece which makes a weakspot and the whole rig bends in use. I ended up trapping it on the floor with one foot and stopping the overrun on the reel with the other.
Nice enough piece of kit and a good idea, but I'd suggest mounting it with bolts to a bench or the wall rather than use the suckers.
