The Avid Carp Elevate Rod are Avid's top of the range rod series for the serious carp angler. Manufactured from ultra slim high modulus XK blanks with a smart 1K carbon wrap finish. Fitted out with premium American Tackle Ti-Forged Air guides with 50mm butt guides and anti frap tip rings. A quality Fuji 18mm DPS Gunsmoke reel seat and shrink wrapped handle with flared butt. They offer incredible casting performance with a fast recovery as well as improved distance and accuracy.

Will be fishing anywhere between 30 and 100 yards. Choice between the 3.5lb in the elevate or the diawa emblem xt x45, been advised elsewhere those in 3.75lb 🤷♂️. What's your recommendation

Most people fishing at that sort of range will be going for a 3.5lb test curve. It does partly depend on wether you're going to be picking up catfish too, but Id say 3.75 is a little over gunned for the average British venue.''

Are they mainly for distance fishing

Hi Lee,
They will cope with long and short range. So it depends if you need the casting distance. A lot of anglers fishing small intimate venues at closer range will plumb for a rod of 10ft or below.
