Is the test curve to high to be used as a normal rod, not a spod rod

Hi Michael,
Some manufacturers have cottoned onto people using heavy duty Spod rods for catfish. So they're now giving the actual test curve on these type of rods where they never used too.

Both the 10ft & the 9ft are rated at 4.5lb test curve and are sold as Spod/Marker rods. So ideal for baiting up.
